P4R800-vm anyone have this board ..how good is it ?

I seen a Good price on this board with a combo 3.0 pentium on pricewatch and
was wondering how good it might be for gameing, does anyone have it that
could let me know something ....thanks in advance !

I'm not into games, but what I can tell you is that I'm returning mine for a
replacement because of heaps of BSOD errors and it won't detect the onboard
LAN. On the positive side (after being an AMD user for a few years) it is
nice to see the CPU running at <40C

Poor Geoff we've been trying to figure out a cure for his for weeks now.
Glad to see he's finally going to RMA it.
Mine has always worked well. For gaming though unless your not into playing
all the latest games with high resolutions and eye candy or you plan on
putting in a dedicated AGP card look elsewhere. For onboard video it is
probably the best integrated offering out there but still lacks whats needed
to play games at high resolutions or even medium resolutions with AA/AF
blame the fact that it has only one pixel pipeline and the fact that it
shares system memory.
And if you are into overclocking there is no options currently to allow it
on the Asus board.
