P4PE Promise Controller Driver for Linux

I only see a Windows driver on the Asus download website. I e-mailed
Promise and they said they don't provide drivers for onboard controllers.

TX4000 Drivers from Promise should work. TX4000 and P4PE use the same
Controller (PDC20376).

There are a lot of choices, which OS driver would work best for Knoppix
v3.3? (I'm a noob)
