Asus now seems to have the 1015 bios up on their sites, for good, after
putting it up, taking it off, then putting it back up again.

They always give very meager information as to the benefits of upgrading the
flash. One thing mentioned is that the "USB Module" is upgraded.

I've had some squirrly behavior with USB devices with this mobo, although at
this instant everything is working. If the USB Module upgrade were to solve
these problems I'd do it, but having had a bad experience a month or so ago
on a bios flash for this board, I'm somewhat hesitant.

I was hoping that this thread could serve as a repository for the results
obtained by ng members who have flashed up to 1015.

Thanks.

That's because the updates, after the first few, are usually very minor. New
CPU support, minor cosmetic changes etc.

I think some people expect way too much from a BIOS revision. It's not like
it's magically going to change any of the hardware on your board or double
your performance. It's really just comsmetic or minor compatibility fixes.

I upgraded with the 1015 bios approx 24 hours ago. Installation was
smooth. I was trying to get usb 2.0 to work properly on my p4p800 dlx.
Usb 2 still dosen't work nothing else added or taken out that I could
notice. Running with a P4 2.8ht.

Took this groups advise & set bios to default before & after the
upgrade.

Unable to resume from hibernation (Win XP) after updating to 1015 from
1014: the "progress bar" at the bottom of the "DOS text" Resuming From
Hibernation screen goes to 100%, where it stays, and the GUI doesn't
appear. Hard reboot required to restart. May try unplugging USB devices
to see if that makes a difference, considering others' experiences.
