Mr 3948572734

Well, I've been using Asus exclusively since the P55T2P4 (Great board)
but now I'm jumping ship.

Too many problems.
They just changed their onboard lan from 3com to Marvel on the
P4P800-ES. First driver load gives a blue screen. Not a good sign.

I probably sound like I'm jumping the gun but there are too many
quirks lately. I never wanted to switch.. but their support staff are
a bunch of rhesus monkeys.

Intel here I come.

The DVD's have a nice face but after installing 7 of them, they won't
read some of my cd's. The good old Teacs read them all.

Good Bye Asus
I now throw you on the pile with Shuttle, FIC, Nice, Acer and the
others.

What do you think the 3C940 is? That's a relabeled Marvell chip. So they
essentially switched from Marvell to Marvell. Still, there shouldn't be
any bluescreens...

Without a good driver I'm worse off than a maxtech. If 3com puts their
name on it you can count on it. What would the Indy 500 be if there
were no drivers?

Board is sweet here, do the .inf update by chance?
Mine is P4P800 E BTW, only thing that annoyed
me was the single ide port on raid controller.

No BSOD's yet, only running for a week though.

Did you install the lan driver from the distribution cd?
