The Plebism

Just been installing and running my new PC built on the P4P.

No worries until I installed another HD.

Now when it boots, it beeps once then pauses for some time. It then
continues to load windows XP, where the little slider goes across at the
bottom of the screen - but pauses again, then it finally boots.

Can anyone help out :-)

Just a guess
Check all HD jumper settings
Check ribbon cables, and IDE setup
disable raid in the BIOS

I am begining to think it's a jumper setting

Will try it tomorrow :-)

Ive put the primary HDD now all by itself on the 1st eide

It still does beep once on boot, but otherwise boots fatster now, although
not as quick as it could i think
