If so can you let me know how it was done.

Thanks

Hi,

You must set the properties for your network card in control panel, there is
a option for the network card related to power management that enables wake
on lan request. You must also set that option in your bios, wake on pci or
something like that.

After you have correctly se up your computer, you must send magic packets to
wake your computer, you can get it from here :

http://www.matcode.com/wol.htm

or

http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/

or

Some routers also include the ability to send the magic packets as
well in case you own one.

Have set the Bios to Wake on PCI and also the 3Com Network Cards properties
to allow Wake On Lan magic packets through Win2k. Tried sending the packets
from my laptop over the internal Lan but this fails to wake the machine.

Were you able to get your machine to wake up on lan?

I've got a Draytek Vigor 2600 router but can't see any option to send magic
packets from it so am baffled. The Asus site fails to say anything on WOL
for this board.
