Recently, I tried to install Linux (suse 9) onto my PC as a dual boot along
side XP Home.
Prob was it caused major hassle getting passed the fact that one of the
installed drives was a SATA drive. In the end I gave up. The SATA drives
plugs into the asus mobo SATA controller.
Now I'm thinking - how about if I bought a PCI SATA controller card !
If I did this, then installed the PCI card, then shut down and swapped the
SATA cable over, disabled the mobo support etc, then 1) would the pc still
boot and 2) do you think this would solve the linux installation problems ?
Any help welcome
