I am wondering about lapping my P4P800 deluxe Northbridge heatsink
(black version).
Will that void the warranty?
Where from can I get a replacement for the heatsink to do the lapping on
in case I want to go back to the original setup?
Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

When I remove it, the contact mark suggests that the base is not flat
(it is a circle not a rectangle).
I am worried since I cannot monitor its temperature like I can with the CPU.

Mb monitor works fine me on same board.

I understand that the motherboard monitor, which I use also, shows two
temperatures for this board. One is the CPU and the other one is the
winbond chip, which is close to the RAM (no where near the Northbridge).
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, please let me know if anyone knows where I can find a replacement
for the Northbridge heatsink.

It's either the chipset temp or the ambient case temp. I always thought it
was the chipset.

No idea. Seriously, I think you are worrying for nothing. You'll probably
make it worse.
