P4P800 Battery Readout

Would someone with a P4P800 do me a big favor and run AIDA32 and see what
they get for a reading for 'Battery Status' in Misc, Power Management?

I just installed the new board and could not get it to power up with the
keyboard or mouse (keyboard jumpers and BIOS were set correctly) so I ran
AIDA and noticed that the Battery Status was showing 'No Battery'. I
replaced the battery with the one from my previous board and everything
powered up nicely but the Battery Status is still showing as 'No Battery'.

I'm wondering if the battery is not being charged, will eventually drain
out, and I'll have to RMA this board for the second time (power connectors
would not work on the 1'st board) ... newegg.com has been great but it makes
one wonder about ASUS quality control.

That was my thought ... but the coincidence of replacing the mobo battery
and then having the power up via keyboard made me wonder.

I ran AIDA and checked it out. It reports the current power source
and battery level if you have laptop or UPS with monitoring software
installed. It does not report on the mobo battery.

The mobo battery does not getted recharged by the motherboard. It
will probably have to be replaced after five years or so.

Good luck.

Ok, much obliged for the answer ... that clears that up!

Strange that the new battery fixed the problem I had with keyboard power-up
.... and AIDA is what made me change the battery. Must have been a bad
battery to start with and the AIDA readout was strictly coincidental ... but
a fortuitous one as it saved me a lot of effort.

Thanks to all ... Fred
