P4P800 - adding a second fan

Is there any way to connect a second chasis fan to a P4P800
motherboard? I didn't know if there was "maybe" a way to use a splitter
so something. Okay so it sounds crazy but I would really like to have a
second fan.

I didn't see the power connector in the box. I thought I only had a
connector for the motherboard.

You can get an adapter cable, that converts from disk drive
four pin, to the three pins of a fan cable. That connects
+12V and GND wires from the four pin disk drive power cable,
to the two power wires on the fan connector. Here is an
example of a fan that already comes with that adapter cable
in the box.

Devices like this one plug inline with the fan, and allow
you to adjust the speed. For the SilenX fan, this is likely
overkill, as it is pretty quiet already.

The only thing missing when not using a three pin fan header on
your motherboard, is the ability to monitor the fan speed.

Just run another case fan off a power lead from the power supply unit. It
does not have to be attached to the motherboard.
