P4C800 or P4C800-E?

A friend has got an ASUS mobo. He ordered it (and payed for it) as a
P4C800-E, but on the mobo the print says only P4C800 (no -E) between the
PCI-slots.
How can he tell if he has a -E model or not?
On the pictures on ASUS web, there is printet P4C800-E on the E-model, and
the cooler on the northbridge is a different color, but can this be used as
to see if it is a -E or not?

It will *DEFINATELY* say -E on the box... I've got one of each right here so
I am 100% sure.

He got ripped off. Where did he order from?
 
my p4c800 got a silver cooller i beleive the E version is black

Ok, the cooler is also silver here, so maybe indeed he has a P4C800 then.
 
The Asus box that my P4C800-3 came in says "P4C800-3 on all 6 sides.
He don't have the retailbox, that's why he (and I) want to know if the -E is
printet on the mobo itself.
 
My P4C800-E has a sticker between PCI slots 3&4 that says "P4C800-E Rev 2.00"

Mine does too, but I discovered that cpu-z still sees it internally as
Rev 1.xx
It was an RMA'd board (twice). Do they upgrade something and then
apply the Rev 2 sticker, or is cpu-z not reading the correct value?

Would appear to me as CPU-Z is incorrect, mine also shows as Rev 1.xx and the
board was never RMA'd. Sticker was on the board when I bought it new.
