Anyone know what the -UAY signifies? I just bought this board new
from Xtreme Gear and it has a 9-mo old BIOS. Seems old for a new
board?

It's just part of the model number...... On my retail box for the same
board the model number is
P4C800-E DELUXE-UAY
UAY is also on the end of the part number... What the UAY actually stands
for I have no idea, but figured I'd post and let you know that mine is the
same.

What rev is it? I just got a new P4C800E Deluxe that is identified as
"Rev 2.0". Can't recall offhand if it had the UAY designation.

FWIW,

my Rev 2.0 board has -EAY on the end.

Who knows what it means (who cares anyway, it's still the best mobo money
can buy!) ?

Hmm....now I am kind of curious as to what UAY and EAY mean.....my board is
also revision 2.0....

At least make sure you got a revision 2 board

Where would a revision identification be located? Can't find it -
probably means that it is an original issue?

So far I've had 2 P4C800-E's.

the first one said Revision 2 - which I had to send back 'cos it
wouldn't boot.

The replacement had no revision#, but I know it was 'newer' because it
had the updated cpu heatsink retainer.

The revision 2 heatsink retainer was flush to the MB and pressed onto
the solder joints.

The 'newer' version had spacers, so it didn't press on the joints

Only once see -UAY on the SK8V board, which uses AMD Athlon64, etc.

So, any mistaken vague memory here ?

That's really good info since this board has the spacers to keep the
heatsink retainer off of the solder joints. Thanks!

Hi auroranews.com,

Anyone know what the -UAY signifies?

I wondered about that when I saw it on my box.

My guess is that they don't sell many. The one I purchased came with the
notorious 1013. The BIOS has since been updated to 1014.

Mine is a strip of white paper between the PCI slots

Correct CPU mounting, but without the sticker *could*
be remanufactured, check it out.
