Hi

I have recently installed a P4C800-e dlx motherboard, 1GB ram, 3.06GHz (HT)
processor. I have used my original hard drives WD 20 & 120GB. I had to
reinstall Windows XP. After re-installing and installing SP1 and all
updates. I have noticed that if I run the System Information Tool or the
DirectX Diagnostic Tool, System Manufacture and System Model both say "To be
filled in by O.E.M". Is there any way to change this? I have searched the
registry, found a key and modified it, but on reboot this gets ignored.

Is there any setting in the BIOS that allows Windows to find the correct
information.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for that, I thought that something was not setup correctly.

That "To be filled in by OEM" stuff sounds like DMI information stored
in the BIOS/CMOS. There should be a DMI utility on your Asus CD that
will allow you to edit that stuff to your liking.

Hi

I have had a look at the programs on the CD, there is nothing that allows
you to edit the DMI information. ASUS Probe allows you to view this info.

I have searched the ASUS web site but can't find anything that can edit the
DMI info on a P4C800-e deluxe mb.

Any ideas what I can use?

Thanks

Brett
