I've never heard this working even though it's enabled in BIOS? is it
supposed to work through the PC speaker or onboard sound only? I use a
SoundBlaster Audigy 2 with onboard sound disabled.

It only works via the FRONT speaker port, with the onboard sound codec, not
add-in.

When I enable it in BIOS, the mechanical voice of a 'girl' is heard through
an external speaker. But most of the time only the last part of the message
comes, also very quickly. Not very useful.

but now got soundblaster live 5.1 it will not work

Works with onboard sound only and through external speakers only. Trust me,
it's a waste of time gimmick for most of us. If you ever hear it you
probably won't want to again. Getting a better soundcard (as you did) and
forgetting about it is your best bet.

Yeah, I laughed at this feature. Tried it and like someone said, was sorry
I did. Nothing like hearing a loud crackling woman screaming (pretty much
illegibly) that your system is booting. Just what I need. Absolutely love
this board though, especially the ability to lock the PCI/AGP bus when
overclocking. The bios on this board is probably the best I have seen and
the board is rock solid, even when overclocked. On another note, has anyone
used the Q-Fan feature (or whatever they call it)? I haven't because my
power supply fan and my front case fan both have manual controls anyway, but
I thought of trying it just to see what it does. Considering that I
overclock my system and want it to run cool, I cant see this feature being
useful for me. I always want my fans running at the highest speeds. I
suppose if you have one of those real noisy, high speed, CPU fans, it might
be somewhat useful.
