Hi all, I just got this motherboard with a P4 3.0C processor. I updated the
BIOS to 1009 and heard three short beeps during bootup. I also have seen a
message saying overclocking failed but this was right after BIOS update and
I hadn't done anything yet.

UPDATE: I managed to get only two beeps after a whole morning of working on
configuring. According to the motherboard manual, two beeps mean parity
error. What does that mean? How do I fix it? Everything was fine (one long
beep) until I updated BIOS.

Please advise. I am not too much of an expert in
motherboards. Thanks very much.

A parity error is a memory error.
Did you reset the bios to setup defaults after flashing it? If not, do it.
Then go through each screen and make sure everything is set correctly for
your hardware. If you are running PC3200 DDR memory your memory will run at
400MHz. If you have PC2700 or lower make sure the memory is not set to
400MHz.
