I want to setup RAID on the SATA channels and want to know if I can use both
of the IDE channels as well. I know it supports multi RAID on both SATA and
IDE, but I want to use the IDE 1 & 2 for ATA drives, DVD +-R, tape backup,
etc. Can I use all 6 at the same time?

Does that apply when the OS is Win98 ?

Sorry I have the deluxe non E version, but with 98 I
can't use all 6. I have to choose 4 I believe but have
never actually loaded 98. But I don't know if the E
version is different or not.

the e is no different.....but if you run 6 drives on the southbridge be
prepaired to take a seriously performance hit, i did it for a short while,
cause i needed to move som data.....and the whole system was super slow much
like having a 1000mhz amd !!

Let's go one step further...

1. Can I setup SATA RAID on the RAID channels, use the other SATA channels
and then use both IDE?
2. Another scenario would be using all 3 IDE/PATA channels including the
RAID channel as non-RAID?

How much performance loss are we talking about if I used all these channels?
