The EIDE cables I got with the mobo are 40 pin but listed on the mobo specs
as Ultra 100 cables.
Also, the Promise 20378 RAID controller:
-1 x UltraDMA 133 support two hard drives
The mobo connector for the above is about 50 pins, looks like a scsi cable.
I don't see anything that fits.
Also included is a 40 pin cable with a tag that reads CD-ROM drive which I
guess is an old IDE cable.
Should I have received 80 pin cables? If no, should I buy some or use the 40
pin ones?
The new ultra 133 drive I have includes a 80 pin cable. Does this mean I can
not run that drive on the Promise controller?
What is the cable/connector for the UltraDMA 133 from the Promise 20378 RAID
controller?
Also, I do not want to use RAID. Can I use the Promise controller just a
straight ultra 133? In the manuals it only describes this controller as a
raid hook up.
