P4C800-E CD-ROM unreadable

I recently bought a P4C800-E. I had the same problem mounting the heatsink
mentioned by others in this group, but the reason for this post is that the
CD-ROM that came with the package was unreadable. As a result I cannot
activate the onboard LAN adapter. I tried downloading what I thought was
the utility/driver from the ASUS web site but that doesn't seem to work.
Anybody have any idea of how I can get this CD or an image of it?

Had exactly the same problem. Here's what I did that worked. I burnt a
copy of the original disc and the copy worked just fine. After all
drivers were installed the original disc then would work.

Go to Intel's site and download the Intel Chipset Drivers and the Intel
Ethernet Drivers.
IIRC, you can't install the Ethernet drivers until the chipset drivers are
installed.
