What's the difference between p4c800 deluxe and p4c800-e deluxe?
How would you know which revision is the mobo I have (p4c900 deluxe- uay0)?

If I remember correctly it's Via raid controller vs Promise raid controller?
I heard complaints about performance with the Via controller.

Hi,

There are two main differences:

-P4C800E-DLX has Intel ICH5R raid controller in addition to the promise one.
P4C800-DLX has only the promise one

-P4C800E-DLX has the intel CSA gigabit controller connected to the chipset
at 266MHz. P4C800DLX has a standard 3com gigabit controller connected to the
usual PCI bus (133 MHz).

By the way I own both of these two MB. they work fine both.

If you open you Asus Update program, it will give you your bios info. There
were just a couple of differences between the boards, I think the most
notable was the southbridge chip with raid on it (ICH5R)

I stand corrected

I looked up the P4C800 dlx specs and it says that there is the ICH5
controller and the Promise is optional.
