Yesterday my computer started to shut down due to overheating. when I opened
it up, i found out that the one one the hook as broken off. That is one of
the four hooks that the heatsink snaps on to. I don't know why it would
happen after working flawlessly for nearly a year.

Does anyone know where I can get one of this for replacement.

Thanks

I tried searching on Altavista for "S478 Retention" and got this:

I just replaced my broken retention module with a Thermalright "P4
Socket Adapter Hardware" I paid only $8.00 Canadian for it at Bigfoot
Computers in Toronto. Its an online store too
<www.bigfootcomputers.com>. The hardware is by far superior because
its made of metal not plastic.
