Hi,
I bought this computer with the Parhelia 128 video card and nothing
shows on the boot up until the Windows xp screen. Then it works fine. Is
there a Asus upgrade? Matrox says it is a Asus problem. Thanks Elliot

Elliot,
shows on the boot up until the Windows xp screen...<<

Same with P4P800 Deluxe mobo and my Parhelia 128 video card. That's not much
important, it doesn't show Asus "My Logo" at starting boot... even with last
Matrox bios (date october). Asus or Matrox should make the move to solve
this little problem... One must say Asus as got is in a better situation as
Matrox is the only one to manage its video cards the way it does...
furthermore Asus is also selling video cards, so I do believe things won't
change if Matrox do not gives us a patch for this purpose... Note that there
is an old one for starting boot logos on Matrox web site, but it's previous
P4C800 and P4P800 were sold on the market, so that patch doesn't work with
Asus mobos.

OTOH I am quite happy with my Parhelia as I am not a Gamer but Designer and
making Desktop jobs using two monitors.

thanks for the quick response. I'm glad to know that it is not only my
computer. Unfortunately, i can't figure out to see the bios screens with
this problem. I am not a gamer either and am planning to use the two
screen option in the near future. abientot, elliot

Elliot,

problem.

Just press on your keyboard with the Delete key at boot... you may have to
press very quickly, maybe more than one time as your PC start booting rather
fast... then you sould enter into the bios setup utility.

Here is my P4P800 BIOS setup parameters in relation with my Matrox Parhelia
Video card

1. in Advanced:
- Graphic Adapter Priority = AGP/PCI
- Graphic Aperture Size = 128MB (instead of 64)

2. in Boot\Boot Settings Configuration:
- Quick Boot = Enabled
- Full Screen Logo = Enabled ***
- AddOn ROM Display Mode = Force BIOS
....
- Hit 'DEL' Message Display = Enabled

Note that your P4C800 BIOS may have some few differences with the P4P4800
BIOS ... anyway, I'll hope this could help.
