All,

My Antec PS has a "Thermal Sensing(?)" wire(s) -- should this attach
somewhere on the board?

Any help/explanation is appreciated!

Thanks!

If it's the connector with blue/black wires, you can connect this to
one of the three-pin fan connectors on the motherboard. I used the
one to the left of the CPU.

There are two kinds of connectors that I've seen. If the connector
on the end of the two wires has three holes, the wires are carrying
fan speed information and you could connect the fan speed to any
spare motherboard fan headers. Then, the fan speed would register
in the hardware monitor. (I use this on my motherboard, but the BIOS
complains when the computer first starts, that the fan RPMs are too
low.)

The second kind of sensor consists of a "10K ohm at 25C" thermistor.
There are two wires and a two hole connector on the end. Some Asus
motherboards have a matching thermal sensor header call JTPWR or TR
something or other. This is a two pin header, and it is expecting
to see a 10K ohm resistor with the correct negative temperature
coefficient, to register properly. I use such a resistor on my P2B-S
motherboard (a 271-110a that used to be supplied by Radio Shack, but
is no longer made).

So, the connector on the end of the cable should guide you as to
where to connect it.

HTH,
Paul
