Hello there

Can anybody help. I'm trying to find out what the maximum size of IDE drive
the P4B533 motherboard will take I've had a look on Asus website and yahoo
but I can't seem to find any info.

Thanks in advance.

Should accept anything currently out there. I'm running multiple160g drives
on my P4B533e (bios 1014). The only caveats I know are OS-related: W2k
requires sp3 and a change to the registry (find info on site linked below).
XP requires sp1 or Intel Application Accelerator, BUT Western Digital drives
require IAA 2.3(it took me hours to run down this fact while troubleshooting
two problematic 160g WDs running along side a problem-free 160g Maxtor on
the same system with IAA 2.2 installed). Note that IAA does not affect
drives on the additional raid controller if your board has it (this
controller uses separate Promise drivers).
