Mr Digital

I have recently bought a brand new still sealed in the box Pentium 4 3.2 HT
processor & fan, the retail unit.

It was supplied with a case badge but the badge did not display the HT logo.
Surely this is wrong ???

Phil.

No. & the front of the box should have the same P4 logo

It is also extremely minor & solely cosmetic.

Since you have a retail CPU, if you contact Intel they should be willing to
help re a badge exchange - I think the UK HQ is near Swindon and contact
details are on their website. I've found them extremely helpful in the past
and I doubt they'd refuse to help you over a badge costing pennies to make.

He means HT symbol on the logo, i also bought HT CPU with standard P4 logo
(without HT sign).

I know what he meant. Like I said the logo on the box & the casebadge
should match (& that should ease some of his tension esp as the box
says "Supporting Hyper-Threading Technology" even though it has the
old logo).

I believe the HT enabled Northwood core P4's do not come with "HT"
logos while the Prescott core HT chips do. Problem is I only have
Northwood boxes & materials handy, & I never paid much attention to
it. Maybe someone here can confirm this (if it is really that
important?)
