I can get a P4-2.26 GHz or a Celeron 2.4 GHz for the same price. The
computer is mostly used for Internet, IIS, Exchange, DNS, and it's my
AD server. Which processor will perform better for the same price?

TIA,
Steve

It won't make much if any difference with the stuff you're running.
The P4 has higher FSB and memory clock potential so it "might" be an
insignificant bit faster.

P4-2.26 same price as C2.4? Hmm, according to Intel price lists, present and
previous, I would expect even a Celeron 2.7 to be only two thirds of the
price of P4-2.26.

The larger L1 cache of the P4 should give it a performance edge over the Celeron.

Celeron is the budget version of the P4, if you can get a P4 for the same
price then definately go for the P4.
