I just burned out a power supply for a system built with a P3-BF (old
system, PIII-450). After installing the new power supply, I get 2 long
beeps on powering up, and nothing else.

What does this mean? I've reseated every card and the memory modules.

Thanks.

Do you smell anything burned on the motherboard ? Perhaps if the Vcore
circuit failed and dragged down your power supply, there is damage on
the motherboard as well. Are there any bulged or leaking caps on the
board ? Any cracked or burned components ?

Nothing on the mb looks or smells burned/cracked, but I understand that the
mb may be damaged. I'm getting 2 LONG beeps when I power up, but I don't
know what the mb is trying to tell me. I downloaded the user manual for the
mb, but there is no documentation on those beeps. I've reseated every card,
memory module, etc to no avail.

Two beeps is a video card problem. I had the same problem when
I last changed out the my power supply with the same board. Sure fix,
is to pull all cards out <ARRGGGHHHHH> then spray all of the slots
with canned air. Then clean all of the card contacts with an eraser
<yes the one on the end of a pencil>< this is an old trick>. Over the
time that you had your cards removed oxidation could have set in.
I have been running two of these boards since they have been on the
market. Both have a PIII 500 and are overclocked to 606mhz at
2.10volts stable as hell.

good luck
Gary
