(I have trawled through similar questions but cannot find the solution!)
Why when I copy files from my company server (SBS2003)to my company PC
(XPpro)they will not
then copy (or be opened) to my home PC (W2K) without changing the ownership
of them?
This 'phenomenon' has only occurred recently and has previously been fine
over the last few
years (I work half the week from home and it also gives us an offsite
back-up).
I can remotely access and copy files directly from the server to the home PC
without
problems, so it would appear that the XP machine takes ownership or adds
something to the
files copied to it?
How can I 're-set' the XP machine (or all machines) to prevent this?
eg. Taking one file, the current ownership changes from 'Administrator' on
the server to
'S-1-5-21-329068152-1993962763-1343024091-1000' on the XP machine
