Ferguson does seem to be able to get the best out of any player, so he could well get Owen scoring once more (he's 29 now, so he's not got long left to be at the top of his game - that makes me feel very old now ).

Shame, as I'd have liked to see him play in the Championship with Newcastle

If he is fit , that from Sir Alex is a masterstroke, as there is no better finisher in the Premier League. If he passes the fitness test at Man Utd and signs then he will be the buy of the season IMO , and all for £50k a week ..peanuts in todays ludicrous football world..
