OWA vs outlook 2000 and XP

I was wondering if anyone knows of a list of the limitations of OWA
(outlook web access) in comparison to Microsoft outlook 2000 running
on exchange 2000 and/or 2003.


Was OWA meant to be a long term solution for users to get their email?
Will the 2003 exchange software have limitations in comparison to
Microsoft outlook running the exchange server?

I would like some literature, preferably from Microsoft, to cite the
limitations of OWA as a long term email solution.

I have found some, such as:

But it appears to be incomplete.
 
Hi Jim,

OWA has evolved from version to version and will continue to do so. The
biggest difference right now is that OWA (E2K3) does not have a local
storage mechanism (i.e. the ability to create or use a PST or OST).

There probably won't ever be a full featured list as Outlook and OWA are
completely different products. The Options screen in OWA is about it while
in Outlook there are Options screens and (sub)menu's packed with options and
settings. Ever used OWA? A good "click around" should give you a good
understanding of what is possible in OWA and what's not.

So a different approach here; what do your users need? If this is all in OWA
it could be a long term solution.

Do you then know how to use the pst or ost file in OWA 2000 on an E2K Server... I really need the solution to this... have been searching for it in 5 days now....
