OWA problem

I recently installed Vista Ultimate and I'm having a problem with my
corporate email using Outlook Web Access. Everything works normally until I
either reply to a message or create a new message. The lower part of the
message window where you write the message is greyed out and there is a
small red X in the upper left hand corner. The result is that I can address
the email and enter a subject but I can't write anything.

The OWA site works fine with IE6 in XP Pro and it also works fine with
Firefox in Vista but not with IE7. Does anyone have any ideas what might be
causing this or how to resolve it?

Thanks,

Doug

I would try one of the Office newsgroups for this one if you don't get
useful replies here. This is more of a Vista general questions group.

As Kerry mentions, it could be you need a patch for your Exchange server.
But it also might be that you haven't installed the S/MIME control used by
OWA. Log on to your OWA and click Options. On the options screen scroll
down to the E-mail Security section and click the button to install the
latest S/MIME control.

If you already have that and it's still not working, then your Exchange
server needs to be patched with the latest patches. Until that is done, you
should still be able to use IE7+ in Vista, just when you log in to your OWA
page choose Basic rather than Premium.

Thanks, Tom, but I couldn't find the E-mail Security section you talked
about. After logging on to OWA as a user and selecting Options, the only
sections I see are Out of Office Assistant, Email Options, Date & Time
Formats, Calendar Options, Reminder Options, Contact Options and Recover
Deleted Items. I don't see any Email Security options.

Is there another way to install the S/MIME control?

Then you need to get your Exchange admins to install the patch that Kerry
mentions for your Exchange server.
