is there some way to restore some earlier copy of overwritten file on ntfs?

is there some setting to enable keeping old copies [for exmple, novel
netware allows me to keep old copies until space exhausted, then the oldest
is overwritten, old copies are hidden, but netware keeps their content as
long as possible, and when needed i chose what copy-version to restore]

Naturally, there's no such capability built into any of Microsoft's
workstation operating systems, but such a thing is possible on
Microsoft's latest Server/Network OS, Windows Server 2003; it's called a
shadow copy.

thnx, it is good.

but, OT, was surprised when shadowcopy video demo pointed user that
accidentaly deleted files as "she"!
why must be the user who makes mistakes "she", feminem? when the simply
"user" is sexless?

i also saw few other materials of ms whre user who performing correct
procedures is metioned as "he", but user who violates rules is mentioned as
"she"?

thnx
