overwriting xp

I had a power supply problem. Overwrote xp from xp disc.
Lost Outlook Express old mail and address book, or at
least I can't find it. All other information is still
accessible. Is there anyway to retrieve old mail and
address book? Is it lurking somewhere on my harddrive?
And how do I find it???
Also, I lost our favorites for web pages. Where might I
find them?
