I am not getting an overwrite image warning in MS
FrontPage 2003. It will warn me about overwriting an
existing web page, but not an image in another folder
contained in that page. I have looked for a solution in
help and on the web but to no avail. Please email if you
can help. Thanks!

Julie,

What exactly are you attempting? Are you changing the
image within a page (resize, resample, etc..) Are you
importing a new image to replace an existing one??

Hi there.
I am using a template that I have set up. I change the
photo and the description and then save the page under a
different name but within a private folder. The photo
within the template that I am changing is different each
time and FrontPage asks me to name the photo. I name the
file and save in a public folder. In FP 2000 if the photo
was named the same as a photo already in that public
folder it would tell me that there was already a file
there with the same name and it would ask me if I wanted
to overwrite or change the name of the photo. Now it just
overwrites without asking me what to do.

Thanks...Julie

Julie,

If the new image is named the same as the old image and
is being saved to the same directory, you should see an
overwrite action in the "Save Embedded Files" screen.

When the screen comes up, you will see the file name, the
folder and the action. If the image is named the same,
your action will specify "Overwrite", if you click save
the file will save, you will not be prompted.

If you wish not to overwrite the file, you can
select "Set Action > Do not overwrite the existing file.

I hope this answer helps out.
