Overlaying a still picture but keeping the soundtrack

I have a one hour "talking head" presentation that I recorded. I want to
overlay on this from time to time a still picture of a slide to illustrate
what the guy is talking about. I can't see any way of doing this in this
package. Am I missing something or can someone recommend a package that will
do this

if you want the slide full screen, you can add it into the video track,
splitting the video as needed, but using a second copy of the video clip on
the audio/music track to have the continued narration....

or, if you want a smaller inset slide as an overlay, see the Editing > Text

But PapaJohn, what is you need that audio track for music?.
It seems to me that inserting 'video only' would be simple to program?
 
if you use the audio track for both kinds of sounds.... then with one track
you need to run the project through the rendering twice.... once to have
the audio you want, and a second time to add the background music.
