overlap order of 2 video clips playing simultaneously in ppt slide

I play simultaneously 2 overlapping WMV video clips on 1 slide . I change
their overlap order while editing the slide, but, regardless of my edit, they
play always in their own overlap order when in presentation mode. How do I
change it?

Movies do not play "in" PowerPoint, but on a transparent layer on top of
PPT. So movie one will play, then movie 2 will begin playing as the TOP
layer. It does not matter what reference box is on the PPT slide, the video
that plays second will always be on top of everything else.

Unfortunately, even if the movie, which I want to see on top, starts after
the first one finishes playing, it is still behind this first one. Any ideas?

I need them playing simultaneously, so the option "dont show while not
playing" does not suit.

Is it possible to use windows movie maker to combine two simultaneous videos

It is possible but not really a suitable project if youre not very familiar
with it (google for rehanfx if you want a go). Really though it would take a
more sophisticated edit program (not cheap!)

If theyre playing together side by side I'm not sure I understand the problem?

It they overlap the one that starts playing last will be on top and you cant
change this

If you want the movie reeditted your best bet is probably to commission some
one who knows how to to do picture in picture.

I want them playing together, while one of them overlaps a part of another.
How can I define which one of them is on top? Even when the one that I want
to see on top starsts with small delay, it is still behind.

Which one did you insert first? I noticed, that sometimes the sequence in
which the videos were inserted, influences how they are arranged on the
slide. So delete both videos, reinsert the one you want to play on top as
the last one.

Tried. No success.
