Overclocking

There are no sensible reasons.. over clocking will reduce the life span..
some overclockers spend more on cooling the cpu than they would have spent
getting a faster processor.. how sensible is that?

Tinkering and seeing things blow up in your face is fun! Having fun is
one of the most sensible pursuit in life, without fun you may as well be
dead!

What are some SENSIBLE reasons to overclock a CPU or GPU (if thre are
any). TIA

I'm sure you'll get widely disparate views on this, but here's mine.

There are no sensible reasons to do it. It's looking for trouble and is
foolhardy.

HI, I'M VERY NEW TO THIS, SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME. "I'D LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO
STOP OVER CLOCKING. I'M NOT TRYING TO AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. I
NEED HELP! IS ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME?"

Unless you or someone else went into the bios and increased the clock, you
aren't overclocking.
