Hi I have an A7N8X-X with a 1800+ chip and Crucial DDR 2700.
Is it possible to overclock this chip to anything higher. What speeds would
I be getting to and how would I go about this.
TIA
Look up your processor here:

The top overclocks use more exotic conditions than the average ones.
Having a CPU active cooler that goes down to -54C makes a difference.
In terms of the Vcore setting, most overclockers draw the line
somewhere, before they hit Vmax for the processor. You can look
up that number via downloading a datasheet from amd.com.
Older processors were unlocked by the A7N8X family. You can
adjust the FSB and the multiplier on those. Increasing the
FSB and decreasing the multiplier, gives a constant CPU frequency
and a better clock for the memory (more memory bandwidth).
Many people are happy with the extra snappy performance that
gives. You can give it more multiplier under those conditions,
and drive up the processor temperature quite a bit, so more
aggressive clock overclocking might need improved cooling.
That should give you enough to get started.
