2600+
so you need 166 or 200
166 would be the normal probably and 200 would be the overclock.. I think
they come in 2 flavors

CPU Frequency Multiple Setting [Menu]
(allows CPU multiplier adjustment if CPU is unlocked)

System Performance [User Defined]
(allows FSB to be set in increments of 1 to 5MHz)

Thanks for all the help
180x12.5= 2250
So it went from 2080 to 2250 but when it booted it still said 2600+ is this
normal

Can't really go by what the BIOS says, what's more important is the
actual MHz the CPU is running at.

Like my Barton 2800... @ 200x11 it says 3200+, @ 210x11 it still says
its a 3200+. ;P

@ FSB 185 it blue screens I am running Kingston pc2700
If I was to go for faster ram would it be of any advantage

If you are running the ram in sync of the FSB (Memory Frequency =
[100%]) then I think you need better ram since PC2700 spec is only
166MHz.

If you run the ram in Auto mode the ram should stay at 166MHz no matter
what the FSB is set to, though running the ram out of sync of the FSB
can sometimes cause stability issues.

the multiplier being used is how the chip identification is determined.

Thankx for the info cheers
