overclocking question

hi:

i have an asus a7n8x rev 2 and xp 2600+ (333) not barton core

now i have overclocked @12.5 x 180.

before going any further, i want to lock the pci bus @33mhz.......but i
couldn't find the setting in the bios, please help

AFAIK, the Nvidia chipset keeps the PCI locked at 33MHz, no setting
needed.

Go as far as you like... but without flipping the 5th bit (search for pin
mod) in order to reduce the multiplier, you're not gonna be able to go much
further with the FSB.

Be sure to fix the AGP bus to 66MHz (default option) and I'm fairly sure the
PCI bus will be locked to half that.

The nForce has independent clock generators for FSB, RAM and PCI/AGP bus.
Makes sense doesn't it! Perhaps VIA will learn.

ALL nvidia Nforce boards (a7n8x included) have locked agp/pci dividers. you
shouldnt have any problems running that chip at 200fsb with default
multiplier, ram permitting (PC3200 or greater). might require a bit of extra
voltage (watch ur temps) to smooth things out tho.

The 5th bit of the multiplier... it's what gets you across the 12.5/13
boundary.. in fact, he's on the correct side, so it's not a problem. If his
default multiplier was 13 he would not be able to change it to less than 13
as the board cannot change the 5th bit of the multiplier, as it stands, he
cannot change it to 13 or more which should not cause problems when upping
the FSB.
