Overclocking?O.o

Hey guys, i was going to get a laptop but i've changed my mind!

I have seen on some threads where they talk about overclocking, i know what it is breifly and i was curious to find out what it really is?

Also, can overclocking damage your computer?


Instead of me buying a new Pc i was wondering if i should overclock my pc as its something new.

My processor speed is 1.8Ghz Dual core .

I've only ever overclocked old pc's!
If you do so make sure you have a decent heatsink & fan to cool the CPU.

Others have more experience in overclocking than i have.
