Li'l ol' me
I've got some PC3200 Twinmos (winbond chips) running on an abit nf7-s with
an XP2100. It's 2x256mb btw, so I'm using dual-channel mode as you'd
expect.
I'm currently running at 212x9 no problems. But when I try anything over
215fsb (430 for the DDR) I get memory errors in Memtest (the DOS one).
Now the mobo can go to 300fsb, and the CPU is well under the 2000mhz I've
had it do at lower FSB settings eg. 166x12, so I'm assuming it's the memory
itself.
What can I expect DDR400 to overclock to? I guess there's no answer to
that, but I'm usuing pretty decent stuff, and I'm disappointed I can't even
get close to a 10% increase. Would sticking some passive heatsinks on help?
