I have overclocked my Mobile AMD Sempron form 1.8 to 2.0 GHz using ClockGen
because there was no option in the BIOS, however, whenever I reboot or the
computer goes on stand by, the clock is reset back to 1.8 GHz. Is this
normal and is there any way to keep it at 2.0 GHz? I am using the ICS 952618
clock generator.

If you go to the clockgen website, you'll see that clockgen settitngs
do not as of yet remain permanent after reboot.

I say as of yet because they seem to imply that an upcoming version
will do so. I've found software overclocking to be metastable at best.
So if you go a little too far with clockgen and those clocks are
stored, you may be in trouble.

You're probably better off in the long run with temp settings. they
don't take long to dial in anyway.
