Overclocking Asus P5S800-VM: Can't find OC menu

I just bought an Asus P5S800-VM board for an MCE machine I'm building.
I also picked up a nice Celeron D 336 (2.8GHz, EM64T), so naturally I'm
curious to see how much I can overclock it. Here's the problem:

Even though the online manual clearly shows a CPU overclocking menu on
page 60, I can't find that menu in the latest stable BIOS (1015). What
gives? Is there a secret key combination I need to press or do I have
the wrong BIOS/manual?

Online manual:

What happens after you set "AI Overclock Tuner" [Manual] ?
Does anything magically appear ?

The more items you take from Auto, to Manual or Stahdard,
the more neat things appear.

The trick will be - is there an "AI Overclock Tuner" to play with ?

No, that's exactly the thing: there is no "AI Overclock Tuner" option
to start with! The only thing that shows up in the JumperFree menu is
the DRAM Frequency setting.

There is no mention about overclocking in the specs. Hmmm.

Here is a P4P800 SE for comparison.

I have a feeling that section was put in the manual in error.
It is probably not supposed to be there.

Asus microATX boards are not generally equipped with overclocking
features. There are the odd exceptions, but for the most part,
microATX BIOS lack basic features that can be used to stabilize the
computer.

I took a quick look, and cannot find a "clockgen" like program
for that board. (Clockgen allows overclocking while in Windows.)
There are programs like clockgen and setfsb, but those programs
must be customised for each motherboard they are used on. It
takes the authors of these programs, too long to do each one,
as there are thousands of motherboard models, and only so many
hours in a day. The problem with gaining access to hardware like
that, is some motherboard makers go out of their way to obscure
the clock generator.

Perhaps you could phone or email Asus support, and tell them
to reissue the downloadable manual, with mention of the
Overclock Tuner removed. Or modify the BIOS and put the
settings shown in the manual, into the BIOS :-) Most
likely, the hardware to implement overclocking, is there
in the hardware - it is just the BIOS interface that is
missing.

That's too bad. A lesson for me to do my homework a little better
next time before jumping on a sweet deal. :)

Yeah, neither could I. Also, Asus seems to be equally confused about
this board. In their download section, they offer their AIBooster
overlclocking utility for for this board. However, when I tried
installing it, it aborted setup saying the motherboard isn't supported
by the program. :(

I think that's a good assessment. I doubt Asus will do anything to
address the issue though since the board is not a very popular one.
Judging by a lack of "me too" responses to this thread, I'm guessing
I'm one of the very few people who actually own this mobo. :)

Oh well. I guess 2.8 GHz it is then. Just as well, it's only an MCE
machine - most of the time it'll just be sitting idle anyway. Thanks
for your help!
