Sharing my experience about this retailer...
I bought two 1GB Micron Rendition DDR2 from them. What I received said 1GB, but was in fact 500MB.

Sent it back, they said they never received it.

They didn't offer to replace it to remedy their mistake.

Won't be ordering from them again!

Did you at least get a Proof of Postage slip from the GPO ?

I'm with TD and Abarbarian - the fault doesn't seem to be with Overclock as the problem sounds like it was the delivery. Sending stuff recorded post eliminates that problem and doesn't cost much extra to post :)

Yep, agree with the point about delivery guys, I've learnt my lesson for the future. It's just the first time that something I send 'doesn't arrive' and I order online all the time, with occasional returns when faulty products.

I was also not impressed with the lack of apology about being sent the wrong product.

But I'll take your point, send it via recorded delivery next time, and I just won't order from those guys again as I've now lost money with them. :-).

That's a bit harsh saying you won't order from them again..As they have not recieved your returned goods how can they appologise for sending the wrong parts..? Until they recieve them it is your word against theirs that the parts were wrong. And until they can verify they are wrong they are not really at fault. You are in a way for not returning recorded delivery..And are therefore more at fault than they...

My two pennorth:

If OCUK sent out 2 x 512Mb sticks instead of 2 x 1Gb modules, that was wrong of them.

However, who the hell stocks 512Mb memory modules anymore?

Minimum memory anybody buys at this moment in time is 1Gb isn't it?

So that makes me wonder.

But we'll never know as they were not sent back with a signature required.

First time posters dissing an online supplier are common and sometimes, yes just sometimes, they may be a rival online supplier just trying to get the drop.

I'm not saying that's always the case but it's best to keep an open mind.

As I've said countless times before in this forum, OCUK have been good to me over the last eight to ten years or so, good stock, fine service, imo.

Only reason I haven't purchased from them in about 18 months is all the stuff I've bought I have found elsewhere cheaper and with free and/or better postage rates.

That and the fact I'm really quite happy with all my three systems so haven't actually been buying much.

I am not defending OCUK, merely stating facts.
