Overburn onto 800MB disk

I am getting confused now. Can any expert direct me to external CD/DVD
writers that support overburning? I have just ordered LG GSA-2164D 16X
EXTERNAL DVDRW and want to be sure if it supports overburning.

The funny thing is just wasted money calling LG and the chap told me he has
never heard of the word "overburning" and would not be able to help me.
Strange! I wonder who else would give such details if not the product
manufacturer.

It depends more on the program you are using to burn with.
