My smart 11 year old son has access to my computer and I have reason to
suspect he has downloaded some sort of computer programe similar to
'PrivacyView' A programe that allows users to (Quote) : "Surf sites all you
want without fear that your partner or children will know where you have
been. Let PrivacyView hide your Internet traces for you. Browse multiple
sites and view your downloaded files without worrying that someone will walk
in on you. Use PrivacyView's panic button to quickly hide all open windows.
Bookmark your favorite sites within PrivacyView so no one will find them.
Download your favorite pictures or movies, quickly and easily, to a protected
location with PrivacyView's QuickSave feature "
He spend hours on my computer but not one folder has been accessed or
modified and no music has been played or any trace of him using the internet.
When anybody enters the room a button is pressed and he is back on the
desktop. I have no idea how I can identify and remove such software, he does
use the computer for school and I dont want to have to ban him from using the
pc altogether or have to move it into my living room. I am very worried about
this especially after his teacher finding really graphic discusting "happy
slap" videos along with other more graphic pictures. I have tried various
child protection softwares but, as my older son told me he knows how to
'over-ride' these programes and continue surfing the sites he wants. How do I
identify such software and remove it??
