Hello,

My anti virus program has caught and deleted the OutsBot!generic virus. But
it keeps coming back only to be caught again.

The virus information and location is:

c:\System Volume Information\_restore {E484 __________}
Win32/OutsBot!generic
A0082341.exe

Does anyone know if there is something I can delete to prevent this virus
from regenerating over and over?

Thanks,

Bob

Flush your System Restore:

It "came back" because the OS saved it from true deletion by putting a copy in the "restore" commode.
It won't harm you unless you restore it, and it will go away eventually. If you're tired of the AV finding
it you should flush that toilet and be rid of it now.

Disable restore, reboot, re-enable restore, reboot --should be flushed now.

MS should have included an icon like the lever on a toilet tank to make this operation easier.

Thanks guys. The flush did the trick. I also defragmented afterward to try
and overwrite it. At any rate. It does seem to be gone.

Thanks Again,
