Hi,

I'm aware I can use Reports to print output, but I would
like to learn how to send output from a Form to a PDF
document. This PDF report will have details from the form.

Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?

Thanks

Lloyd

You would normally still do this via a Report, by printing the Report
to a special PDF "distiller" instead of to the driver for a real
printer. The archetypical PDF distiller is that which comes with the
full version of Adobe Acrobat, which is quite expensive. Others are
much cheaper and (IMHO, and for most purposes) just as good. My
personal recommendation for a PDF distiller is PDF995
(www.pdf995.com).

You can also purchase Access plugins that help to automate the PDF
report production process. These may be worth looking at if you
anticipate producing a lot of Access Reports in PDF format.

Lloyd/Peter:

Yes there are many PDF printer's available. PDF995 is one, although we
find Win2PDF (www.daneprairie.com) or pdfFactory (www.fineprint.com) to be
more fully functional alternatives and replacements for the standard adobe
drivers.

If you do need to automate output, then you might look at our PDF and Mail
Library for Access, which interfaces with any of the drivers above. You'll
find it on our web.
