Hello all,

Assuming identical input sources when capturing video... Will the output
of Windows Movie Maker and Adobe Premiere be of the same video quality ? In
other words will one look better than the other when watching the finished
video ?

Thanks,

Duke

Duke,

My experience using Premiere6.0 and Movie Maker is that a saved DV-AVI file
is identical, as my Premiere uses the same Microsoft codec to render it....
and the WMV files saved by Movie Maker are far superior to those saved by
Premiere.... but that would be due to the default settings in the file
choices. Premiere's default settings were lower quality choices. Given the
same codecs and the same settings, I'd expect the results to be identical.
