My junk mail apparently doesn't work, can anyone tell me how to fix this
problem? I have tried to send it to junk mail by going to action as well as
right click. But I continue to get an unbelievable amount of junk mail in
outlook.
The junk mail filters eliminate some - not all - junk mail from your inbox.
This feature works on filters. You can get updated junk mail filters from
the Office Update site. You can manually add junk mail filters -useful if a
number of emails are coming from one source or always have a similar
subject line. Also, there are controls to set the filtering to low, medium
or high. Default setting is medium.
Experiment with different settings to find the one that works best for you.
There is always the risk that legitimate emails will end up in junk mail.
What I do is use the highest setting that results in the least number of
"false positives" (good mail incorrectly going to junk folder).
For more information about how to use this feature, open Outlook, press F1
and search for "Junk Mail" in the help file. There are also newsgroups
specifically for Outlook. Use the "Office Community" links on the Office
website (site that "Help> Check for Updates" takes you to) and you will
find links to those newsgroups on that page.
